The goal of the scholarship program is to honor Erika’s wish to make a meaningful difference in the lives of minority high school students in Rhode Island, particularly those from the Black community. Transitioning from high school to college can be a stressful event, both economically and culturally. Facilitating this process for worthy and eligible students is what the scholarship program is all about.

It is toward this end that contributions in any amount and any form are accepted via check, credit card or stock. Cash donations are also accepted via direct bank transfer.

Although we are grateful for any one-time donation, please consider becoming a Sustaining Donor, that is, someone who is willing and able to make a commitment covering a typical four-year college/university curriculum. Recurring gifts and grants will ease the burden on students, who must meet eligibility requirements each year to retain their scholarship. Please contact us at Info@ErikaNiedowski.org if you would like to be a Sustaining Donor.

All donors will be publicly acknowledged on this site, unless opting to remain anonymous. Please understand that contributions to the scholarship fund do not provide the donor a controlling interest in any decisions made by the board with regard to investments or distribution of scholarship funds.
