2021 was the inaugural year of the Erika Niedowski Memorial Scholarship program, whose goal was to award a $1,000 grant to a qualified Black Rhode Island high school student to facilitate their college education. Several high-quality submissions were received and reviewed, including online interviews with two short-listed applicants. The selection committee was so impressed with both that it was unable to choose between them, deciding to award two scholarships for studies during the coming academic year. We are honored to be involved with both of these outstanding students.
